A new book, Operation Condor Against Cuba by José Luis Méndez, was presented at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center in Havana. The work documents how the United States extended Operation Condor to Cuba through torture, assassinations, and a prolonged dirty war aimed at destroying the Revolution. Méndez traces the role of Miami-based Cuban terrorist groups and details how U.S. administrations coordinated information sharing, kidnappings, and targeted killings across Latin America. The book portrays Condor as a clear example of U.S.-driven counterinsurgency and state terrorism between 1975 and 1983, carried out with the support of regional oligarchies.
